1. Acceptance of these terms
By using SCNZ (“the service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of scnz.space.
2. About the service
SCNZ is an AI-powered media toolkit for video creators. It turns scripts into scene breakdowns, searches stock media libraries, generates motion graphics, and produces video renders. The service is currently in closed beta: access is invitation-only, features may change or break, and uptime is not guaranteed.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when signing up, keep your credentials secure, and use the service only with an account you are authorized to use. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
4. Bring-Your-Own-Keys (BYOK)
SCNZ requires you to supply your own API keys for third-party providers (LLMs, stock media libraries). You are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining keys from the respective providers.
- Any usage charges those providers bill you.
- Complying with those providers’ terms of service.
- Revoking or rotating keys if you believe they have been compromised.
We do not reimburse charges incurred by your keys under any circumstance.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SCNZ to:
- Create content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes third-party rights.
- Generate content that violates the terms of service of any LLM or stock media provider you connect.
- Generate sexual content involving minors, non-consensual imagery, or content that promotes violence.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission.
- Circumvent rate limits, usage restrictions, or security measures.
- Scrape, store, or redistribute stock media in violation of the source provider’s license.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Content ownership
You own the content you create. Scripts, scene breakdowns, assembled media kits, and rendered videos you produce through SCNZ belong to you, subject to the licensing terms of the stock media providers and AI models you use. SCNZ claims no ownership over your content and does not use your content to train models.
Stock media returned from providers (Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash, Storyblocks, Envato) remains subject to each provider’s license. Read those licenses before using media commercially.
7. AI-generated content
Content generated by AI (scene breakdowns, animation configurations, text suggestions) may be inaccurate, biased, or derivative of training data. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before publishing or distributing it. We make no guarantee that AI-generated content is original, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
8. Beta service disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis during the beta period. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Data loss during the beta is possible. Keep your own backups of any critical scripts, media, or renders.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCNZ’s total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless SCNZ from any claim, damage, or expense arising from (a) your use of the service, (b) your violation of these terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right, or (d) content you create using the service.
11. Pricing and billing
The closed beta is currently free for invited users. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, existing users will receive advance notice and the option to accept the new terms or stop using the service.
API usage charges from third-party providers (LLMs, stock media) are billed by those providers directly to you; SCNZ does not receive, process, or mediate those charges.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account via hello@scnz.space.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these terms or for operational reasons (e.g. ending the beta). On termination, your right to use the service ceases. See our Privacy Policy for data retention details.
13. Changes to the service
We’re actively developing SCNZ. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time during the beta. We’ll try to give notice for breaking changes, but can’t always guarantee it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and notify registered users by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a mandatory local law applies.
